During the school year 1998/99, International School Moshi students raised funds to assist with the building of a classroom for the deaf children in a primary school at Mwazi Kusini in Uru East on Kilimanjaro. Using the money collected, the 'Hard Labour' group spent the first weekend of the new school year in August 1999 at the school site and helped with various construction tasks including digging foundations and making concrete blocks.
