Moshi Campus News - 4th December 2009

Dear Parents,
Direct from the Director
At some of our last meetings we have had questions concerning strategic planning and whether or not there was one currently in place at school. This question was reviewed at the PA Committee meeting on Wednesday, December 02. The answer to the question is "YES", there is a plan. In fact it is on the school website. During the course of the discussion, it was discovered that there are a good many documents available for parents to read on the school website, but not all of our community may know how to access them. Here are directions to help navigate to the strategic plan and other documents.
1. Click on the link provided here http://www.ismoshi.org/parents.htm
2. Click on Parent Documents title on the right-hand side of the page
3. Use the username and password which has been provided to you.

It appears that the last meeting of the strategic planning group was in March of 2008. Although other meetings were planned, they did not take place. So it appears that a part of the answer to questions about strategic planning is that yes, we do have a plan but it has been dormant for a bit. This has resulted in it being overlooked. Our first step then is to familiarize ourselves with what is currently in place so we understand what has taken place. From there, we can begin to structure our way forward.
KiliKatz leaves its mark
There is always a magic surrounding a school theater production. Certainly the ISM production of Kili Katz was no exception. The production was a clear demonstration of what can result from a combination of talent, direction, determination, and creativity. Congratulations to all students, staff and parents who pulled together to make this production a reality. A special recognition must be given to the three main organizers: Maggie Dobson, Director; Khari Lee, Music; and Paul Johnson, Technology and Stage Crew. Through their efforts students from all across the Moshi Campus had an opportunity to participate in this musical experience.
ABRSM Theory Exams
Any students wanting to sit ABRSM theory exams in March 2010 must register with Mr. Khari Lee by Wednesday, December 16th.
