John Iglar Head of Secondary Primary NewsStudent Led CelebrationsOn Tuesday 11th next week you will receive your child’s portfolio, I know the students are excited about sharing their learning with you and also having you visit the learning centers around the school on Thursday 13th. Please bring your child’s portfolio with you when you come to the celebration. What is a student led celebration and how does it work? The student led celebration day provides your child with an opportunity to share their knowledge and understanding in different areas of the curriculum. Your child is responsible for leading the celebration and the teacher is on hand as a facilitator. If you have specific questions or concerns you wish to discuss with the class teacher please make a separate time to do this. I recommend that if you have more than one student led celebration scheduled, you bring a snack or activity to occupy siblings so that each child is able to enjoy individual time with you. I will have a few activities set up to help keep siblings occupied as well. Please note that there are no instructional lessons happening on this day.
