Student led Celebrations

A very warm 'Thank you' to all families for the fantastic turn out to our Student led Celebrations yesterday! WOW!

Congratulations to all our primary students for taking on the responsibility of being the leader for the session. They showed a developmentally appropriate confidence, independence and commitment as well as their knowledge and understanding of a number of skills and concepts.

The following feedback from parents shows evidence that our students, through authentic learning engagements have been supported to take action and ownership of their learning. We feel very proud of their accomplishments to date this school year.

Heat and Rehydration

This week it has become apparent that our students in the primary school are not drinking enough water. We have had a number of cases of headaches and lethargy. Can you please encourage and support your child to make sure they fill their dink bottles and keep drinking during the day; we will continue to do the same at school. Much appreciated.

Run Jump Throw Carnival

There was great excitement today as our house teams met to plan their attach for next Wednesday's Run Jump Throw Athletics Carnival.

Chants have been written, house uniforms coordinated and strategies planned. The house captains really did a motivational job!.

The day will start at 8.30 with a 'march past' of our house teams. Students are asked to go directly to their classes in the morning; from there they will meet with their secondary house buddies and make their way to the large field.

I would like to thank the school 'Social Committee' for organising refreshments for our students and parents on the day. If you are able to help out, I am sure your assistance would be most appreciated.

Please remember to bring lots of fluids for your children, hats, sunscreen and most importantly their house colour T-Shirt! House T-Shirts and hats can be purchased from Loise at reception. We look forward to seeing you here for a most enjoyable end of term celebration.
