The next set of music theory examinations will be held in Arusha on 30th September. Parents of students who wish to register must email me directly at before the end of this term on 17th June. Please note that I can only take registrations for upcoming examinations and parents need to confirm registration for later examinations when they are announced.Refundable Deposits
If your child is finally leaving ISM this term, you will want to know the procedure for handling the refundable deposit which you paid when your child first joined ISM. Our first task is to check that your child has returned all the books or equipment that has been loaned to him/her and this process is normally completed on their last day in school - we also need to verify that all school fees due have been paid.If a sibling will be continuing in ISM next year, the deposit will be automatically credited to their own fees account. In this case you do not need to do anything. Otherwise we ask you to complete a form which is available online at www.ismoshi.org/refund_deposita.pdf by clicking here and to return this to me either in printed form or by email. Printed copies of the form will also be given to your child to pass on to you. Deposits will be refunded according to your instructions in the same currency as that in which they were paid about 2 weeks after your child leaves ISM. The deadline for advising ISM of withdrawals from school has now passed. If you have missed this deadline and your child will be leaving, please contact me immediately. Student Teacher
We will have a female student teacher working in primary from August 3rd until October 9th. We are looking for accommodation for her during this time. If you can assist then please let me know.Dates to remember
Adrian Moody Head of Campus Secondary NewsAssessment Week
Secondary students in M1-M5 will have end-of-year assessments next week in various classes. Students have been preparing for these assessments - both tests and other activities - for some time, and have been given study guides and test-taking tips. We wish all the students good luck next week - and remember to have a balanced weekend of study, sleep, healthy eating and exercise!M4-M5 Exams
Students in M4 and M5 have formalized examinations, plus work time for different classes. Students should come on time for exams, be prepared with pencils & pens & etc., be rested and ready for the exams. These are important assessments for their school grades and the grades on their MYP certificates and records of achievement. However, they are not the end - students will have additional work and assessments afterwards!M4-M5 students leaving campus
M4 and M5 students who have written permission from their parents may leave campus when their exams are finished on each day. Those students who do not have written permission will stay until the 2:30 dismissal time, and may do revision in the Library, Computer Centre or available classrooms. Students must use the time for revision - those who are abusing revision time will be sent home.Secondary dates and events o Assessment Week: 25-29 May o M2 Culminating Activity (Kindy Fun Day - overnight in Moshi): 1-2 June o M4 Class Trip (West Kilimanjaro): 2-5 June o M5 Art Exhibition: 5 June o M1-M3 Shakespeare production: 5 June o M1 Culminating Activity (Fashion Show): 8-9 June o M5 Class Trip (Moshi): 9-11 June o P6/M1 Transition: 15 June o Reports go home: 15 June o M5 Leaving Ceremony: 16 June o Last day of classes: 17 June Regards John Iglar Head of Secondary Primary NewsDear Parents,Congratulations
