Moshi Primary News - 30th May 2008
Dear Parents,

I would like to thank you all for the wonderful ‘Goodbye'assembly this morning which I will remember for a very long time. I would also like to thank Emily, Milou and Jessica for agreeing to perform their recent ABRSM Music examination pieces in the assembly at my request. Last but by no means least I would like to thank Ms. Rosi, Narelle, Ray, David and all the primary assistants for their help throughout the year and in organising the assembly today.

For those of you who do not know my family and I are moving to Munich, Germany where I have been appointed as the Lower School Principal at the Bavarian International School. This is a large school in comparison to ISM, with 700 students from 4 to 18 years of age. 350 of these students are in the Lower School so this will be quite a different experience than being Head of Primary at ISM Moshi. Ms. Rosi Uliuviti will take over my role as Head of Primary next year and I wish her the very best for the future in that role.
P6 PYP Exhibition - Monday June 9th
As I am sure you are aware the P6 PYP Exhibition was postponed from Wednesday and will now take part next week. The presentation for P6 parents, their families and the teachers of ISM will be at 7.30pm on Monday June 9th in Karibu Hall. There will also be presentations at 11am on Monday June 9th, this is student's dress rehearsal before they present to their parents in the evening, and at 7.45am on Tuesday June 10th, before they go to TPC for the end of year picnic!

P5 students also have a role to play in the presentation as they have been involved in the musical compositions related to the Exhibition's Central Idea - Our Planet Has Limited Resources That Are Unevenly Distributed.

All P6 and P5 students need to be at Karibu Hall on Monday evening June 9th by 7.15pm to prepare for the presentation.

On Tuesday afternoon when we have returned from the TPC picnic the P6 students and myself will have to take down the exhibition in Karibu Hall. Parent help would be appreciated at this time so that the job can be completed quickly.

On Tuesday evening I would like to take the P6 students out for dinner along with their mentors and invited parents. The students unanimously voted for ‘El Rancho'for this meal and we will meet at the restaurant at 6.30pm in the evening.
End of Year Picnic
The picnic will be at TPC in the garden of Pascale Wiehe-Lagesse on Tuesday June 10th from 10am-2pm. All students are expected to come to school at 7.30am as they would on a normal school day. We will leave ISM together at 9.30am to travel to TPC. In the afternoon we will leave TPC at 2pm and expect to return to ISM at 2.30pm. If you have offered additional seats in your car to travel to TPC I shall inform you on Monday who will be traveling with you. If you have made arrangements amongst yourselves to travel with someone please inform me.

Please note that if you have not returned the slip to school by Monday morning we will assume that you are not joining us for the day and that your child will not be at school on that day.
Last Day of School - June 11th
School ends on Wednesday June 11th. Please note that the primary students should be at school at 7.30am. There will be a whole school assembly at 9.35am on the grassed area outside the Staff Room and all parents are invited to attend. The primary students are free to go home after the assembly.

I wish you all a very relaxing and peaceful holiday and the best of luck for the new school year with Ms. Rosi at the helm.

Yours sincerely,
Mrs. Kathy Slocombe
Head of Primary
