ISM is one of two test centers in Tanzania for the Paper-Based TOEFL test (the other is at IST in Dar es Salaam). This test is a Test of English as a Foreign Language and should be taken by any non-native English speaker wishing to study in North America. In the bulletin you will find the registration form to complete at the end.
Go to a Western Union office and use "QuickPay" to pay - full instructions are on pages 6-7 of the bulletin.
Post your completed registration form to Pittsburgh in the USA.
ISM cannot register any candidates for the TOEFL test except ISM's own students.

Notes:Standby registration is NOT available for TOEFL tests. All candidates MUST bring their current passport to be admitted to the test; Tanzanian citizens may alternatively bring a driving license. No other form of identification is acceptable.
TOEFL tests are currently available in two formats. A paper-based test will be available in Moshi in November 2011 and also in May 2012. Internet-based testing is available in Dar es Salaam or Nairobi on most weekdays.

SAT Reasoning Test
The SAT Reasoning Test (previously called SAT 1) is a test of verbal and mathematical achievement and a satisfactory to good score on this test is required of all students planning to enter university or college in the United States. We would recommend any D1 student considering undertaking further education in North America to take this test in May of their D1 year and possibly again in October or November of their D2 year.| Where?: | Moshi Campus. Registration: To register online, go to the SAT Registration Pages - you will need a credit card and, if you are an ISM student, must include your High School Code of 643250.
If you are an ISM student and do not have access to a credit card, complete the registration form online and save your entry without entering a credit card. See the Head of Campus for help with online payment. Please register at least 8 weeks before the test date.
Notes:It is possible for SAT candidates to register as standby candidates on the actual day of the test, but there is an additional fee of US$43 to be paid. Candidates must bring the required identification documents (an admission ticket and an acceptable photo ID), or they will not be admitted to the test.

SAT Subject Tests

SAT Subject Tests (previously called SAT 2) are subject based and are generally required by the more competitive colleges and universities in the US. Students take tests in up to three subjects usually in the first term of their D2 year.

PSAT Tests
The PSAT (Preliminary SAT) is designed to give students experience and practice at undertaking a test similar to the actual SAT Reasoning test (see above).
