 National Park Safaris
Ngorongoro Safari
Ngorongoro crater is one of the easiest in terms of access and greatest in the provision of opportunities to see the wonderful wildlife of Tanzania. It is highly recommended for groups keen to see lots of game in a short period of time, as you are almost guaranteed to see many of Africa's famed animals. Groups will camp near the crater overnight and have a game drive in the crater itself starting early the following morning. In addition to Africa's animals, Ngorongoro also enables visitors to view the life of The Maasai and visit a Maasai cultural centre to see an alternative culture and lifestyle. At the end of the trip there is a planned visit to a Snake Park with a great variety of East African species of reptiles and amphibians.
Duration of activity: 3 days

Approximate cost: $550 per person per trip (A visit to Lake Manyara NP will be included in this trip)
Tarangire National Park Safari
Tarangire National Park is also easily accessible and can be visited in conjunction with a trip to the Ngorongoro Crater. Tarangire Park and Lake Manyara attract many animals. There is a vast array of wildlife to be seen in Tarangire, especially during the dry season (August - October) including leopard, lion, giraffe, elephant, and large herds of zebra and wildebeest amongst others. Nights are spent camping just outside the national park.

The Serengeti is further away from the VSP base at ISM so requires considerably more time to include in a programme and is also more costly.
However, it is possibly Tanzania's most famous park offering the chance to see so many of Africa's animals, including the annual migration of the wildebeest, in a vast untamed environment.
