Every year in November we are lucky to receive a number of permits from the National Parks Authority (TANAPA) to take students on Kilimanjaro and Meru mountains. One of these trips in 2003 took a group of students from both campuses to the lowest hut on Mt Kilimanjaro at 2800m as their first experience on this mountain.
