MYP Community & Service
Community and Service in the Middle Years Programme aims to develop:
Community & Service in the MYP involves three central elements:
To support and inspire helping attitudes, Community & Service is naturally integrated into curriculum areas, Co-curricular Activities, field trips and Outdoor Pursuits. Students will have opportunities to keep a Community & Service Journal, recording community needs they have become aware of, plans, records and reflections. They also have the opportunity to assess their C&S involvement on a rubric. The expectation for Professional Staff is to be models of positive action in the school community and beyond.

- an awareness of the role of the individual within the community
- a willingness and the skills to respond to the needs of others
- an altruistic attitude which enriches the lives of students through enhanced insight into different social patterns and ways of life.
