Teacher Training in Tanzania
ISM Arusha Campus recently hosted teacher training workshops for Tanzanian teachers in Arusha.
At the first workshop in May 2004 there were 8 trainers and 37 teachers. The teachers learned how they could be more creative in the classroom.
The trainers do not get paid. Christine and Theobold did follow-up work in the schools during ISM's holidays.
The second workshop attracted 41 teachers who described it as the most interesting training they had ever had.
These children will have
better teachers if there is
greater access to
professional development.
In 2004 ISM is celebrating 35 years of providing quality education in Africa including the first IB diploma programme on the continent.
