Our Outdoor Pursuit's programme offers students the opportunity to climb Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru through a graded series of climbs taken over two or more years. The most demanding climb is to Uhuru Peak (5895m) on Kilimanjaro which is undertaken with a full pack. Our school climb in November 2004 involved students from both campuses and a large number successfully reached Uhuru Peak.
In 2004 ISM celebrated 35 years of providing quality education in Africa including the first IB diploma programme on the continent.
